Planet B-Boy

I saw this movie yesterday.  The passion, the sense of community, the competition and rivalry totally reminded me of capoeira.  Also, there are many moves that are used in B-boying that we use as floreios.  Funny, because I haven't heard any b-boys credit capoeira for any influence but you can clearly see the similarities.

P.S.  One of the guys from the team from France was wearing an Abada Capoeira t-shirt. 

Okay, here's a link to an article about b-boying and capoeira.  Again, the assertion that capoeira did not influence b-boying.  http://www.bboy.org/forums/interviews-articles/51945-history-breakdancing.html So why the similarities?  Are they coincidental and spontaneous?

I Googled b-boy and capoeira together in the same search term and came up with 84,100 hits:

The Wikipedia article on break dancing mentions a combination of b-boy and capoeira action in video games, but Wikipedia on "b-boy" does not mention the c-word.

In Tunisia they call the moves "B-boy capoeira tricks." No pretense that the connection doesn't exist.
